Posted on May 19th, 2009 No commentsHello! Let me introduce myself…My name is Bobby Cook. I believe Jesus Christ is who He said He is.
When I was a child at 7 years old I made a life changing decision. I realized that I made bad choices in my life and I needed a savior. I had heard God’s story of how He sent His perfect sinless Son to die on a cross, so I may be forgiven of my sins.
Jesus Christ took my place, even when He did not deserve it. And the only thing I had to do was admit that I was a sinner, believe that Jesus is God’s Son that He died on the cross and rose again three days later, and then confess Him as Savior and Lord of my life. Now I am forgiven by God’s Grace.
This began my personal relationship with God.
Now, I have a family of my own and I serve as the Associate Pastor for Family Ministry at Redland Baptist Church in Maryland. So, I get the privilege of Telling others God’s story and how He changed my life for eternity.

Hello, my name is Rev. Bobby Cook and I am the Associate Pastor for Family Ministry. Family Ministry at Redland Baptist Church is a holistic and intergenerational approach to ministry. Leading the church to come alongside of parents to encourage, equip, and empower them to be the primary disciplers at home to reach this and future generations through the ministries of children, youth, and recreation.
This blog is one tool we use to pursue our purpose in Family Ministry for families to live out Deuteronomy 6:4-7. “Attention, Israel! God, our God! God the one and only! Love God, your God, with your whole heart: love him with all that’s in you, love him with all you’ve got! Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night.”
