Read Luke 5:1-11. Jesus helped Simon Peter catch an abundance of fish. Then Jesus explained to Simon that he would one day be a fisher of men, someone who would seek and win men’s hearts to Jesus. We celebrate winning hearts at Valentines Day. In fact, the heart is associated with “valentine.” Enjoy the activity at this site and think about those you love.

How are the hearts of men, women, and children won to Jesus?
Why was it important that Simon Peter obey Jesus and learn to be a fisher of men?
If we truly love someone, wouldn’t we want that person to know about Jesus? Explain your thoughts on this.
How can we be fishers of men today?
Prayer: Lord, make us fishers of men, women, and children until all of humankind knows about you.

Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night.”
