You might take a few moments to pray for some of the people who have left prayer needs, or you can click on “Place a Prayer Request Here” to leave your own prayer request if you’d like. As a family, discuss what it means to have a prayer request. Name some times in which people have turned to prayer for resolution or help.

Visit this prayer chain site and read some of the requests. You may want to pray for some of the people who have listed their needs there. What is a prayer chain? Does your church have one in place? Let family members share whether they would ever leave a request with a prayer team. Explore circumstances in which you might consider doing so.
Ask a family member to read Acts 9:36-43 aloud. Then consider the following questions:
How were the prayers in the city of Joppa answered in the passages you just read?Does God answer prayers today? How?
Exchange prayer requests among family members. Promise to pray for each person’s needs every time you think about it for a week. Set a time to get back together and learn how your prayers have been answered.

Love God, your God, with your whole heart: love him with all that’s in you, love him with all you’ve got! Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night.”
