Browse these websites that show pictures of people from many different walks of life. Some are homeless. Others are hungry. Some are poor. Discuss what it would be like to trade places with any of these people.
Read Acts 2:42-47 as a family and discuss the following items:
• What were some of the activities in which the people in Acts 2 participated?
• How did the believers in the Acts 2 church take care of each other?
• How should Christians care for one another today?http://teachersupport.group.com/faithweaver/homeconnect/spring-2011/week-11-(may-15,-2011)

Week 3: Jesus Washes the Disciples’ Feet (John 13:1-17)
Bible Study: Jesus wants us to follow his example of serving others.http://www.networkforgood.org/
Once you arrive at the Network for Good home page, click on the “Volunteer” button at the top of the screen. You will move to a page of volunteer ideas. Spend some time exploring the various areas of service described in this Web site. It lists many opportunities to give the gift of time.

Check out this list of service organizations. Did you ever dream there were so many? Discuss whether any might be of interest to your family.
http://www.youthworks.com/workandministry.aspx
Enjoy surfing this site. First read about the mission, its projects and its purpose. Then click on the Testimonials icon to read some of the testimonials regarding the mission trips. You may not feel called to this particular effort, but it might help you think of other missionary projects that you could join.
Discuss some other acts of service that, as Christians, you can offer to others. Think about what you can do as an individual, a family, and as a part of your church.

Week 1: Jesus Teaches About Good Fruit (Luke 6:43-44)
Bible Study: Our Christ-like actions show we’re Christians.http://www.pbase.com/ozlem4ever/rotten_fruit
Look at the photos of the rotting fruits and vegetables in order. Which would you rather see on your dining table, fruit from Day 1 or fruit from Day 40?
http://www.savoiafoods.com/fruit%20tray%202.jpg
At this site, look at the picture of the fresh fruit on the tray. What does the glow on the fruit tell you about it? How is the fresh fruit different from the rotting fruit that you saw at the first Web site?
In Luke 6:43-44, Jesus uses fruit to teach about the actions of people. Use what you have learned from the pictures you viewed to answer the following questions:
What did you see on the fruit’s skin that showed you that it was rotting? What did the outside signs tell you about the heart of the fruit? Was it useful once it rotted? Why or why not? What things do you see on fresh fruit that make you want to eat it? What do those things tell you about the heart of the fruit?
What do an individual’s actions tell others about what is in the heart of that person? How do unbecoming actions affect a Christian’s testimony? What actions can you do to show others a healthy walk with Christ?
